Q: So...where did you get the idea to do this?

A: On New Year's Eve, 2006 (going into '07), I watched a news segment on Current TV about a guy who raised $10,000 in less than a month so that he could take Lady Sovereign out on date after she came to his town to perform a show.  He accomplished his goal, took Lady Sov out on a tour of San Francisco.  Apparently, Lady Sov later bashed the poor fella, but oh well...at least he got what he wanted.

Q: Why SXSW? Why not Sundance, Cannes, or Telluride?

A: Read this.

Although if anyone wants to send me to any of the other festivals, however, just fork over the extra $5K and I'll make the arrangements?

Q: Do you plan on making any videos while you are down there?

A: Yes. I plan on making a video for every day that I am down there.  Then I will edit them and post them to YouTube when I return home.

A: No. I first saw the font at a CocoRosie website. I e-mailed the webmaster, and he promptly directed me to this link.

Q: What do I get out of donating money for your trip?

A: My gratitude. You will also get a "Thank You" card sent to your home. And of course, a couple of YouTube videos.

Q: What happens if you don't raise the money?

A: I'll be deeply in debt, but I plan on keeping this website up until I have recuperated the cost. 

Q: What deadline have you set to have the money raised?

A: I will be flying to Austin on March 6, 2008.  Originally I had a deadline to have the money raised the night before, but now that I have Google AdSense, I plan on keeping this up until I have everything paid off.  I realize there isn't much suspense in that, but I think it's more important to have the money raised.
